EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT

RUFUS C. GIBSON - Patient Service Representative
ArchCare at Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center

Rufus C. Gibson began his career at ArchCare at Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center in 2002 as an Administrative Assistant and was recently promoted to Patient Service Representative for the Sub-Acute Unit.  During his eight years at TCC, Rufus has had an enormous influence on the morale of both the staff and residents.  He regularly hosts talent shows, Christmas parties and the Annual Employee Appreciation Day.  Rufus also volunteers with "The People's Task Force," a dedicated group of staff members who meet to brainstorm ideas for a better working environment at ArchCare at Terence Cardinal Cooke.

"I love my job and feel happy and blessed to wake up every morning and have the chance to improve the quality of lives of the residents here at TCC," Rufus says.  His co-workers like to talk about how much they love and appreciate his big warm smile and the fact that he always has something nice to say about everyone.  His laughter is certainly contagious and can be heard throughout the halls at TCC.  It seems everyone has a "Rufus" story.

Rufus and The People's Task Force started the "TCC Biggest Loser" program, which is now in its fifth year.  The competition is a big hit with residents and employees as they work towards the common goal of losing weight and staying healthy.  Since becoming involved with the competition, Rufus has lost 22 pounds!
