Update: March 24, 2011

Construction of the first phase of ArchCare’s state-of-the-art Program for All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE) at San Vicente de Paúl in the South Bronx is rapidly nearing completion. The PACE Day Center is expected to begin operation in late-Spring 2011, with phase two construction of the PACE clinic slated for completion by the end of the year.

PACE improves the lives of nursing home-eligible seniors and allows them to keep their independence by delivering the healthcare and other services they need at home or in the community, instead of in a nursing home. The San Vicente de Paúl PACE Center responds to growing consumer demand for alternatives to nursing home care, and will offer a full spectrum of healthcare and supportive services, including adult day care, medical and dental care, prescription drugs, social services and physical, occupational and recreational therapies.

ArchCare looks forward to exploring opportunities to introduce similar home- and community-based services in other locales over time, while continuing to provide traditional nursing home services for those who require care in a residential setting.
