A message from Scott La Rue
President and CEO
It's no secret that many healthcare institutions today are doing their best just to survive in an environment of shrinking government funding, rising costs, shifting consumer demands and ever more complex regulations. For non-profits entities such as ArchCare, the challenges have been especially acute. The unwavering support of the Archdiocese and especially the leadership of Cardinal Dolan for whom our healthcare ministry is a top priority, have been instrumental to the fulfillment of our mission in this difficult environment.
It is often said that along with challenges come opportunities. Instead of succumbing to the economic and other realities, ArchCare is actively adapting to them. We are seizing the opportunities that lay before us to transform and enhance our vital ministry in ways that will equip us to serve our residents and others for whom we care more effectively and better meet the long-term needs of the diverse communities in which we live and work.
Rest assured, providing residential nursing home and rehabilitative care is the heart of the ministry. In fact, it is the expertise, insight and credibility that ArchCare has developed in delivering top-caliber in-patient that gave impetus to several elements of our transformation, including our growing home and community based care and Medicare Advantage insurance programs.
While many things in healthcare today are changing, at ArchCare one thing will never change: our number one priority is our commitment to providing the best care possible to our residents, families and others who rely on us. I invite you to learn more about our facilities and services and to follow along with us on our exciting journey of transformation.
President and CEO
At ArchCare, we take as our inspiration the Archdiocese of New York's long history of caring for those who are ill, elderly or vulnerable. Every day, and in every aspect of our programs, our staff at all levels demonstrates incomparable dedication, compassion and commitment to enriching the lives and nurturing the spirits of our residents and others who cannot care for themselves.
