SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM ANNOUNCED
In order to encourage and assist young people in the community to enter the health care field, the Resident Council, a resident-run group at ArchCare at Ferncliff Nursing Home, offers a $200.00 scholarship to a high school senior from Rhinebeck, Red Hook, Germantown, Hyde Park, Kingston, Saugerties or Poughkeepsie school systems who will be pursuing further education in the health care field.
Each applicant was asked to complete an application along with a 200 word essay describing why they are pursuing a particular field. Kaitlin Bathrick, from Rhinebeck High School, was this year's recipient. Kaitlin will be pursuing a career in Speech Pathology.

RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY FOR RENOVATED GIFT SHOP
After two months of renovations, ArchCare at Ferncliff Nursing Home held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new Gift Shop.
The Gift Shop at Ferncliff, which is staffed by volunteers, is a place for residents to gather, visit and shop for things such as cards, gifts, and even their favorite confections. The expansion has provided more space for new items for purchase, including fresh flowers and balloons for all occasions.
