Alzheimer's and Dementia Care

The Cognitive Care Unit serves individuals who are mentally frail or suffering from dementia caused by disease or traumatic head injury. The Unit provides quality skilled nursing care and structured interdisciplinary programming allowing each resident to attain his or her highest level of functioning and independence. Recreation, nursing and rehabilitation staffs collaborate to create a structured environment that promotes the residents quality of life.

The 28-bed unit has a dedicated health care team with 24-hour, on-site medical coverage and respiratory therapy, nurses with acute care experience and advanced training, and a full range of physical, occupational and speech therapy.
