FLORIDA - Two health care agencies dedicated to serving the underserved have teamed up to bring a new mobile health center to communities across the Hudson Valley.
The mobile health center - a 33-foot-long van outfitted with two examination rooms and equipment for a variety of health screenings - is a collaboration between the not-for-profit Hudson River Healthcare, known as HRHCare, and ArchCare, the Continuing Care Community of the Archdiocese of New York.
The van is sponsored by ArchCare and operated by HRHCare.
"We stand on common ground in terms of service," said Eileen McManus, associate vice president of operations, Hudson Valley, who's been with HRHCare for 14 years. "We serve the most vulnerable and marginalized members of the community."
