A local organization and a family of community activists partnered up to host an annual giveaway event.
On Monday, November 21, ArchCare at Home, formerly known as the Dominican Sisters Family Health Service, collaborated with real estate businessman and community activist Joel Fishman and his family to host the 33rd Community Turkey Giveaway to feed needy local residents in preparation for Thanksgiving.

Cardinal Dolan blessed and dedicated the ArchCare Senior Life St. Marks Adult Day Center, an adult day care center on Staten Island, during a visit Nov. 9. The center helps local seniors, many with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to live safely in the community. It can serve 55 seniors.

TOWN OF WALLKILL (December 19) - Braemar at Wallkill received a ‘Best of Senior Living Award’ from SeniorAdvisor.com, an affiliate of A Place for Mom, for its elite care and dedication to its residents. Braemar at Wallkill also recently received its Enhanced Assisted Living Residence (EALR) license from the New York State Department of Health.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. ‑‑ Cardinal Timothy Dolan blessed a new adult care center in St. George on Wednesday. "What we are providing is an alternative to traditional nursing home care that allows seniors to continue to live in their own homes and communities, close to the people they love," Dolan said.
