NEW YORK, NY, October 30, 2025 — ArchCare, the Archdiocese of New York’s healthcare system serving thousands of individuals each day, hosted its 12th Annual Gala on October 23rd at Gotham Hall. The event brought together more than 330 supporters and raised $2 million to expand programs that provide care for older adults, individuals with specialized needs, and vulnerable New Yorkers.
Hosted by Rosanna Scotto, co-host of Good Day New York, the evening celebrated ArchCare’s community of partners, caregivers, and advocates who sustain its mission.
Mary Long, Chief Operating Officer of Theradynamics, received the ArchCare Partnership Award in recognition for her collaboration and leadership in advancing ArchCare’s mission across the community.
“This recognition reflects not just an alliance, but a shared vision rooted in compassion and service. ArchCare’s faith-based, holistic approach to serving those most in need fits seamlessly with our philosophy,” said Long.
Actor Richard Kind was honored with the Ann Mara Community Service Award for his longstanding advocacy and volunteerism in support of charitable causes. Reflecting on the evening’s theme, Kind spoke about the importance of empathy and compassion in daily life.
“Empathy, love, community—that’s what you’re all here for tonight, because of ArchCare,” said Kind. “I was raised with empathy. It’s how I was raised. This is who I am. And it’s what connects us—caring for one another.”
His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Archbishop of New York and honorary gala chairman, followed with remarks tying the evening’s purpose to the values that have guided ArchCare for more than three decades.
“ArchCare has listened to Saint Lawrence. ArchCare has listened to Pope Leo XIV. You are supporting the real treasures in this community—our elders, our forgotten, our struggling, our poor, our orphaned, our alone,” said Cardinal Dolan.
Scott LaRue, President and CEO of ArchCare, highlighted the organization’s accomplishments over the past year, including the expansion of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) with a new center in East Harlem. He also introduced a video shown during the Gala that showcased ArchCare’s memory-care programs and the profound impact they have on residents and their families.
“The stories you saw tonight remind us why we do this work,” said LaRue. “Behind every statistic is a person—a life filled with meaning, memory, and hope. Thanks to your generosity, we can continue to be there for them.”
The evening concluded with performances by Steven Maglio, known for his Frank Sinatra tributes, who closed the night with Fly Me to the Moon, My Way, and New York, New York.
