Recover in our sophisticated Emerald Suites.

An entire floor of Mary Manning Walsh is dedicated to short term rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, located directly across the street. Patients with private pay may choose to stay in our Emerald Suites — VIP rooms with spa-like amenities — during their recovery.

Nice to meet you.

A lot of things make Mary Manning Walsh special to me… first and foremost the care my mother received when she was a resident here for almost 5 years. Also, the people I work with — such an amazing group of peers in every department. Working here does make you feel like you have a second family.

If you are caring for your loved one at home but need to make arrangements while you are away — perhaps for a much-needed vacation — we offer short term accommodations. You’ll be able to relax, knowing that your loved is getting excellent care and attention, before bringing them back home when you return.

Our Protect Infection Prevention Program

We are committed to keeping those in our care safe and healthy towards infectious threats. Throughout the continuum of care, preventive strategies, including vaccination, hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, and early testing if exposed and symptomatic, are discussed and encouraged with residents, plan participants, and their families.

Our comprehensive infection prevention initiative includes ongoing monitoring by our staff, including an Infection Prevention and Control Nurse (IPCs) at every nursing home and an Infectious Disease Medical Director. The IPCs conduct daily rounds and ensure that staff are following proper PPE usage as well as help to create a safe environment for all in our care.

Safety training for all staff members for in-home visits

PPE protocol followed at all times
