More than 1,000 healthcare professionals, caregivers, community members, religious congregations, and healthcare leaders gathered at St. Patrick’s Cathedral for ArchCare’s annual White Mass, a longstanding tradition that recognizes those dedicated to the ministry of healing.
This year’s Mass was especially significant as it marked His Excellency, Archbishop Ronald A. Hicks’ first White Mass as Archbishop of New York. During his homily, Archbishop Hicks encouraged healthcare professionals to continue serving as “true ministers of Christ the Healer” through their compassion, presence, and care for others.
The Mass also included a special recognition of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, celebrating their 74 years of service at Mary Manning Walsh Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center and their lasting impact on Catholic healthcare.
The gathering also offered an opportunity to recognize the extraordinary contributions of healthcare workers who continue to provide comfort, hope, and healing to individuals and families throughout our communities.
Thank you to The Good Newsroom for capturing this meaningful celebration of faith, service, and healthcare ministry.
