Creating quality care, together.

Background:

ArchCare was designated by the NY Department of Health as a Workforce Investment Organization (WIO) in three New York regions: New York City, Long Island and Hudson Valley. The New York State’s MRT Waiver Amendment develops initiatives to retrain, recruit, and retain healthcare workers in the long–term care sector. This initiative is being referred to as the Workforce Investment Program (WIP).

Program Overview:

ArchCare has a robust training infrastructure capable of developing and conducting a wide range of programs focused on enhancing the skills and advancement opportunities of long-term care workers in the region.

The primary goals of the ArchCare WIO are:

1.            Invest in initiatives to attract, recruit, and retain long-term care workers in the areas they serve

2.            Reduce rates of avoidable hospitalizations

3.            Align with DSRIP, Value Based Payment (VBP) Reform, and other state workforce development efforts
